You will probably see that many websites often have a blogging section associated with it.
Some call it News, some call it Updates but essentially it is a section for posting articles related to the theme of the website or business.
There are several reasons why this is done.
Blogging and keeping contents on the website fresh is a great SEO strategy (How To Do SEO).
At the same time, it is also an excellent way to keep your customers or website readers abreast of information you would like to pass to them.
A well maintained blog not only allows you to execute your SEO, maintain and enhance your keyword rankings, but it allows you to build your authority as subject matter expert in your niche area.
This is kind of referred to as content marketing as you consciously share your unique contents and information about certain subjects and readers trust you on the subject.
When writing your blog posts, other than watching out the requirements of SEO, I have a few tips:
- Be sure to embed nice images throughout your articles, this helps break your articles into readable sections and make the posts more intriguing
- Write short sentences and paragraphs and use simple language
- Always share original content or at least add in your own insights on particular areas you can add value
- For long articles, have sub sections and sub headings
