It is a known fact that more and more consumers are going online to do their purchases.
Angels Dream Spa is already a well-known spa with a huge following as a result of excellent services provided. The owner already provides a range of world known skin care products and wanted to expand to online sales.
The key value proposition is to provide Singapore’s first on-line e-consultation to users who may not quite know how to choose the most suitable skin care product available in the market.
With some discussions on the business objectives, the market positioning, a proposal was given by Anspire Consulting to develop an E-commerce website using WordPress WooCommerce plugin as phase 1 of the project, with other digital marketing services in phase 2.

The domain name chosen is tngbeauty.com and the website was developed on WordPress and the e-commerce engine was built on free WordPress plugin WooCommerce.
There was deliberation whether to use Shopify or WooCommerce to build this website and finally WooCommerce was chosen as the platform.
As we discussed in the article Importance of SEO, traffic to a successful website is important, more so for an e-commerce website.
For the digital marketing activities, shorter term lead generation, branding and customer acquisition will be driven by social media marketing, search engine marketing and Facebook fan page. However, longer term, SEO and organic traffic are equally important for selected keywords.
It is for this reason, WooCommerce was chosen in addition to some cost savings.
Shopify is an excellent platform to develop an e-commerce website; it is exceptionally easy to use and superbly designed as an e-commerce engine. Having said so, while it takes some time to master WooCommerce, if you know WordPress well, it is not that daunting.
